From Tina Goes to Heaven
She went up the steps, swung open the screen door, and set foot inside the Happy Trout Fishing Resort for the first time. She heard the bright little bell on the door, but she didn’t feel her fate close in around her like a fist. And yet close it did. for better or for worse. Everything she had done, been, thought, felt, imagined, wanted, avoided, believed, denied, and lied around funneled into this moment. She could have backed out, but it would have been film unwinding, life unhappening, the butterfly climbing back into the cocoon and pulling it shut, and she was intent on solving the problem she perceived, unaware of the questions that needed answering. Who is this woman? What is she for?
